Hi! I’m Mindy Nelson, owner and designer of Form Designs. My love for design started young—growing up in a big family with seven siblings, I watched my mom constantly refresh our home. She was always rearranging furniture, painting walls, or sewing new curtains and pillows. My dad was a mason, and a true artist when it came to stone and brick. One summer, I worked alongside him, mixing mortar and hauling buckets of mud. It wasn’t glamorous, but it taught me the value of hard work—and gave me skills I still use today, like laying stone veneer or fixing grout around my own home.

I eventually married into the construction world, and together my husband and I built our own house and completely remodeled another—while raising a big family of our own. Through it all, my passion for design kept growing. I started by learning the technical side—taking coding classes, studying CAD, and drawing plans. That foundation turned into something more creative: selecting fabrics, finishes, and redesigning spaces that not only look beautiful, but also work within a real-life budget.

Today, I bring the best of both worlds to every project—technical precision through 3D renderings, and a designer’s eye for color, flow, and personality. I love getting into the details, solving design challenges, and pulling everything together to create a space that feels like you. Thoughtfully designed, beautifully functional, and completely unique.
